Meantime backup and convert videos to save time for editing on FCP X

With Panasonic HDC-TM900, I shoot lots of videos.I'd like to Backup/Copy HD video to Mac for later editing on FCP X. But it is terrible as the files are so large.I really don't like wasting so much time on waiting for the conversion and storing. Is there any software who can Backup HD MTS Video in the Backstage,at the same time,import and Trancode MTS on Mac?

It made me so excited when meeting such a great

which was called Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac. I would like to share my experience about how to Backup HD Video to Mac and Convert MTS to ProRes 422 for FCP X on Mac Simultaneously with Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.

1. Connect Panasonic HDC-TM900 with Mac for backup
Connect TM 900 with Mac, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac will run automatically when detects the camcorder. Then you will face a popup window asking for connect confirmation. Just click “OK” to continue.After that, the program will show the multiple storage mediums of your camcorder. Double click a video to preview in the preview window on the right.Click “Next” and then choose “Backup” to start Backup HD Video to Mac.


2. Import MTS from Mac to the program for converting
Click the “Add a path” icon on the main page and add the storage path of your MTS to the program. The MTS you transferred to Mac before will display in the resource tab then.

3. Create a new movie for conversion
Create a movie for conversion. Drag and drop one or several MTS videos from the Resource tab to the blank movie. You can preview by double click.

4. Convert MTS files to ProRes 422 for FCP X
After a new movie is created, click the little icon on the right side to set its output format-Final Cut Pro> Apple ProRes 422(HQ)(*mov).Then click “Export” to complete the conversion.

When converting MTS to Apple ProRes, Final Mate for Mac may conduct or even complete the backup. It really saves a lot of time.

5. Import ProRes 422(*mov) to FCP X
After converting MTS files to ProRes 422, launch FCP X. Click the “File” icon on the top left of the window and choose “Import”, browse your Mac to select ProRes 422(*mov) to FCP X. Then enjoy editing ProRes 422 on FCP X.

Tips:
Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac can also help you merge and flawlessly export MKV from MTS.And more information about video-format-convert will be showm in my own classroom.

Join and convert MTS to Mp4 for iPod

As Chinese Valentine’s Day has just passed. Definitely, most young couples enjoyed the special festival.They captured the sweet moments with camcorders to reminisce about past fragrant memories on portable devices like iPod. But how can the captured files playback on iPod is a problem as most devices don't support MTS files from camcoeders. Luckily, the powerful software Aunsoft Final Mate helps me solve such problems. Take my videos captured by Panasonic HDC-TM700 for an example,I'll show you how this achieve.

Step 1: Import  MTS files into Aunsoft Final Mate.
It's an easy operation. When this software runs, the wizard will show you how to import files step by step.Just follow the instructions, you can easily manage this operation.

Step 2: Convert MTS files to iPod Nano 4 MPEG-4 640*480 (*mp4)
Create a blank movie for conversion. Drag and drop the MTS files from the Camcorder Tab into the blank . Then, click “format icon” to choose iPod Nano 4 MPEG-4 640*480 (*mp4) among the options of iPod. Next, set the output path to specify where to store the mp4 file.

Step 3: Export the mp4 file for iPod
Click “Export” button to start the conversion from MTS to mp4. After conversion, you can just import the iPod Nano 4 mp4 file to iPod for playback.



Isn’t it easy to merge your MTS files into an mp4 file for playback on iPod?

iPhone 4, the most popular mobile phone, is now accepted and owned by more and more people. The powerful little machine can almost work like a computer. Of course, this smart elfin makes our life more convenient. Fortunately, I have one. It just has perfect functions expect only one flaw: Most MTS videos shot with my different camcorders, such as Canon H100 and Panasonic TM900 can’t be broadcasted with iPhone as the format problem.

I need technical software to convert the MTS videos to MP4, which can be supported by my iPhone. Luckily, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac helps solve this problem. The following steps will show you how to operate.

1 Import
When this software runs, the wizard can easily help you to import the files from no matter the Mac or the camcorders. The 2 sources will be shown in the window.

2 Convert
This is the main step of the operation. As video files are chosen, drag and drop (A) them into the blank before you can choose the right format for iPhone when click the button B. Parameter can be changed with the function of button C. This picture will show you the step-by-step operations to complete the conversion.


3 Output
When video format was chosen and the parameter was set, choose the right path for output and click the button D to complete.

4 Enjoy
Videos are now converted to the suitable format. When exported to the Mac, you can connect iPhone with Mac and download the videos to iPhone via USB. With iTunes, export the new video to your iPhone. Now, just enjoy videos from camcorders.

Convert 720p MTS of Lumix LX5 to Premiere MOV for Adobe Premiere

Last Sunday, I shot many HD videos with Panasonic Lumix LX5 on my niece's birthday and wanted to burn the 720p MTS to DVD with the help of Adobe Premiere. The problem is that the 720p AVCHD Lite MTS format is not compatible with Adobe Premiere and I had to transcode them to Premiere MOV first. I tried several softweares and among these, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac satisfied me most. It successfully transcode 720p MTS of Lumix LX5 to Adobe Premiere MOV with the high quality kept. The next thing I would like to do is to introduce this perfect conversion tool and the steps of converting Lumix LX5 720p AVCHD Lite MTS to Adobe Premiere MOV to you.

1. Capture/Import Lumix LX5 720p MTS to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac
You can either capture videos from camcorder or import them from hard drive on Mac.
To capture from camcorder, just connect Lumix LX5 to Mac via a USB cable, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac will auto run when it detects the camcorder. Confirm the connection and follow the smart wizard to complete import.
To import from hard drive on Mac, just click the "Add a Path" button and browse the folder with AVCHD Lite MTS files.

2. Create new movie for merging and conversion
Create a new movie for conversion. Drag and drop the video clips from Camcorder Tab (imported from camcorder) or Resource Tab (imported from Mac) to Movies Tab. You can create a single movie for merging or create a movie for each video to be converted.

3. Set output parameters
After creating and merging/ joining, it's time to set output format and other parameters. Click the "Set Parameters" button and choose the output format: Adobe Premiere> Adobe Premiere MOV (AVC) (*mov). Then set other parameters below for exporting high quality MOV.


4. Export Premiere MOV for burning to DVD on Adobe Premiere
After setting various parameters, just click the "Export" button to set conversion from Lumix LX5 MTS to Premiere MOV to start. Wait for a few minutes and you are free to edit and burn Lumix LX5 720p MTS to DVD on Adobe Premiere.

Transcode Canon XF100 HD MXF video to ProRes 422 MOV for FCP X
  
If you have ever tried to import HD MXF videos to FCP X for editing, you must be staggering to see the files being gray and cannot be chosen for import. I encountered the same problem not long ago when I tried to import Canon XF100 MXF videos to FCP X on my Mac OS X Lion. After searching and consulting, I was recommended to try Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac. Thanks to this fantastic conversion tool, I successfully converted MXF to ProRes 422 MOV for FCP X
Following I would like to share my experience of converting Canon XF100 MXF to ProRes 422 MOV for FCPX editing on Mac Lion.

1. Load Canon XF100 videos to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac
Connect Canon XF100 with Mac and transfer/backup the MXF files to Apple hard drive disk, run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the perfect HD MXF video converter to transcode Canon XF100 videos to ProRes 422 MOV. Click the "Add" button to directly load the HD MXF videos.

2. Set output format and destination
After importing MXF videos to the program, click the format button to choose their output format, you can easily choose Apple ProRes 422 HQ (*mov) among the options of Final Cut Pro. Then click "Browse" to freely specify where you want to store the videos.


3. Convert HD MXF videos to ProRes 422 MOV for FCP X
After setting the output format and destination, click the "Start Conversion" button under the preview window and conversion from Canon XF100 MXF to ProRes 422 MOV starts immediately.
The time the conversion process takes depends on the size and number of the task.

After the Apple ProRes MOV is exported, just launch FCP X and follow File > Import to easily import XF100 videos to FCP X on Mac OS X Lion.

Tips:
Sometimes the output ProRes 422 MOV may have problems playing back. One problem I have encountered before is that the output file is only an audio track .mov file without the video. I consulted the customer service of Aunsoft Studio and they asked me to install apple codec package, which works just as it states. Here is the link of it: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1396.
